Allright, I shall start my thoughts with Stanley Tookie. He was executed on 12/13/05 and was pronounced dead at twelve thirty-something a.m. Tookie was innocent when he was executed. Above anything of what anyone says about karma or justice I will firmly believe that Tookie would have been better alive then dead. He could have stayed in jail and still write children's books. It really does outrage me how Arnold Shwarzeneggar could allow such a thing. I actually lost whatever I liked about Arnold. The reason Arnold didn't grant clemency was because Tookie didn't "snitch" on the crips and apologize for the killings. Tookie must be have a strong heart because not once did he apologize or snitch on any of his old gang members. At age 17 when he killed the four people he was young.
Ignorant people just don't seem to want to grasp what it was like for Tookie growing up. Where are the articles that tell how he was raised? Who took care of him? How many white people actually want to help black people in his position? I heard that the people in the crips and bloods get in the gangs for protection and respect. Tookie was a big guy. Just being as big as he is will give him plenty of respect. But to roll with the new found crips he could feel better about people wanting to take him out. You have to understand that Tookie, at least it's what I believe, hasn't had good role models to look after him and would beat his ass for doing something wrong. Most importantly love him. If he did then they weren't people he cared for. He's a tough man. After the many years of being in jail he has changed. Of course he and other jail-mates tried to escape. But who wouldn't that is on death row? Tookie even admitted that when he founded the gang it wasn't the way he intended it to be. He wanted the streets to be safe. The Crips were against any marauding gangs. But I will never believe in killing someone. Even it was someone in my family was murdered I would be pissed, but if I had even a little understanding of how
the criminals were raised I may forgive them. (Notice I said may, because I would never know what I would do unless I was in the situation) The man has written children's books that tell the many problems with joining gangs. Yet sometimes I just remember I have never met this man and there haven't that many times I actually have seen him on television. I want to see how he acts and behaves. I may have to check the movie about him starring Jamie Foxx. Doesn't it seem strange how him and Arnold were weight lifters? Both of them are big as hell. I wonder if Tookie could have beat Arnolds ass...
