Knowledge is power (English Paper)

Knowledge is Power
I believe in knowledge. Without knowledge, setting an example for other Americans may not be possible. A common phrase is, “Knowledge is power”. That refers to the knowledge of oneself, others, and activities going on between everyone. Knowledge of oneself allows people to realize their uniqueness and figure out where they want to be in society. Knowledge of others creates a peaceful environment. I believe that the more we know about each other, the better we will get along. The best friendships come from people knowing a lot about each other. Knowledge of the activities between everyone helps prevent confusion.
I have two friends I have known since kindergarten. We have been in two different cities for a few years, but we still converse. I can still get along with them because I know their original personalities. My knowledge of their original personalities helped bring me to trust them. But since we moved, I have found new friends. I do try to understand as much about other people as possible before considering them as friends. I admire others who try to make friends. Even if I do not like the person I believe I can still bond with him in some way.
I believe in teachers. Everyone in America is a teacher of some kind. As long as you stay in contact with someone you can teach them. There will always be bad teachers, but one good teacher out of thousands has outstanding effects on the student. Good students are also limited. Some knowledge will not be understood for good students if told in the wrong way. A good teacher can teach a student even if the student is bad.
I believe that America is a giant classroom. As teachers of this class, we have done an excellent job of forming a respectful nation. The bad are punished and the good are rewarded. The more disruptive the classroom is, the fewer tasks accomplished. In order to have a class that is not disrupted, rules will have to be set. Laws are set to prevent disruption in America. If there were never laws, the entire country would suffer. The kind of classroom that we are in is a class that welcomes outsiders. Immigrants could be related to transfer students. Outsiders may need to prepare to catch up with the class. They mostly count on their own knowledge of what is important in the classroom. When they do not have enough knowledge they try to learn more about the class activities. Some teachers try to help outsiders fit in, but the bad students may have a bad effect on them. With time, the outsiders will find their place in the classroom with everyone.
In the future I will travel to one of the most visited cities on Earth, New York. I hear that the city is very diverse and the newest technology and fads go through New York first. It is interesting to me to see how people behave in other places. Not only are the people different but the atmosphere and environment. I want to increase my knowledge of the people, the activities they do, and how they affect my life. This I believe is what a true American does.
